Therapy with Hannah | Meet Hannah

Nurturing growth in young minds

Welcome! My name is Hannah (BSc, MA, MBACP), and I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist/counsellor who specialises in working with children and young people (age 4-18 years). I hold a master’s level qualification in psychotherapy and counselling for children, adolescents, and families (distinction), a BSc degree in Psychology (first-class honours), and over ten years of experience working therapeutically with children and young people. As a qualified therapist, I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

My path towards becoming a child and adolescent psychotherapist was profoundly shaped by my own experience of therapeutic intervention at the age of 11. Therapy became my sanctuary—a safe haven where I could freely express myself and make sense of the overwhelming emotions I was grappling with. Under the compassionate guidance of my therapist, I discovered the importance of having a space to process my feelings, fears, and uncertainties without the fear of judgment. Fundamentally, the sessions deepened my self-awareness and instilled in me newfound resilience, solidifying my belief in the transformative power of therapy. Driven by the profound impact that my therapist had on my life, I am committed to providing a supportive and empathic space for children and adolescents to explore their emotions, heal from past experiences, and develop the tools necessary to thrive on their unique journeys.

Since entering the realm of children's mental health, I have never questioned that this is my true vocation. Observing the vulnerability, resilience, and incredible potential within the children and adolescents that I've had the privilege of working with remains an unwavering source of inspiration for me each day. I continue to be driven by the belief that providing compassionate and tailored mental health support during formative years isn't just about addressing immediate concerns; it's about laying the groundwork for a lifetime of emotional resilience and wellbeing. Guiding young individuals through their challenges, helping them navigate complex emotions, and empowering them to discover their inner strengths and abilities is a calling I wholeheartedly embrace.

At Therapy with Hannah, my vision is to establish a secure and confidential space for your child to openly share their thoughts and emotions in a manner that is most comfortable for them. Within my practice, trust, inclusivity, and safety serve as the foundation of my approach. My primary objective is creating an environment where your child feels safe to explore their background, values, and perspectives, and ultimately feels acknowledged, embraced, and respected. I celebrate diversity, honouring each child’s unique identity and experiences, and aim to foster a sense of unconditional belonging and acceptance on their therapeutic journey.
